- IAM Identity Center now retains users, groups, memberships, permission set and application assignments when switching identity source from Active Directory to an external IdP or the Identity Center directory.
- The existing identity store IDs stay unchanged, so access permissions and policies continue to work without needing to recreate resources.
- Available for organization instances in all AWS regions at no additional cost; switching back to Active Directory functions as before.
