- Requires Erlang 24.2+ (Erlang 23 dropped); nodes on older Erlang fail to start (breaking change).
- Default max open file handles capped at 65 536; increasing the limit now needs explicit OS and ERL_MAX_PORTS configuration (breaking/minor).
- Adds configurable authentication timeout for MQTT and STOMP plugins, makes Windows service startup optional, and upgrades Prometheus to 4.9.1 and etcd to 0.3.6 (feature/minor).
